Spray Seal Labourer/Spreader Truck Driver

Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a skilled full time Spray Seal Labourer / Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT. 

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
• Safe labouring duties may include but not limited to shovelling and raking, running wheelbarrow, safely positioning and unloading trucks for spray seal operations
• Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers
• Safe manual handling practises
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Current driver's licence (HC/HR) and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications
• Experience on spray sealing works / asphalt crews 
• White card
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
